Have used mine now for 2 days and can tell you at a minimum, my hair is softer, without that "sticky" heavy residue I usually have after shower. I don't use any hair products at all, btw. I noticed a big change in the feel and texture after my first shower. So did my husband. I happened to see one at the SuperCare Pharmacy at DSO next to Cedre Villas and just went ahead and bought it. Also can say the spray and slight lemon aroma are nice. It is a low flow shower head, so less water too. Now to see if my hair starts coming back!

I love this shower filter! I bought it after suffering very dry hair and my hair was falling out a lot. It makes my hair feel softer after I have washed it. Before it used to feel like grass! My hair is also not falling out that much anymore, not sure whether it's because of the filter or just passing the hair shedding 'phase'... My skin also feels much better, softer and not so dry.

Thanks Beebers, for some reason I was convinced they were only about Dhs 90 so when they wanted Dhs 180 in the Springs I refused! Oopsie!! I did that, too! Thought it was 70 instead of 170 the first time. After the 3rd pharmacy...I finally bought the 2nd bottle lol

Still loving mine too....doing pretty much the same as jcdubai, it has now been about 6 months and I am so happy with the results. How much are you paying for the phyto tablets jc? Went to buy a new bottle at the Springs Town Centre Pharmacy and am sure they were twice the usual price?? Maybe am just being forgetful though.... Everywhere I see Phytophenares, they are 170 dhs. I think that is the right price.

Hi there.....been using mine for 6 weeks......smells lovely all the time, hair def less dry........and its not falling out as much , just a small amount..............but i am also on the phyto vits, which take 3 months to kick in........and also doing the 2 egg yolks and olive oil once a week...........So all combined its working...........thankfully !!!! Couldnt cope with the dry frizz and massive hair loss. Bought mine from Marina Pharmacy at the Greens, they were very helpful.....(as always). Looking forward to getting my hair back x x x Good luck

I just got one today bc frankly, I have nothing to lose except more hair. I have seen 2 doctors and both have told me it is the water here. I also did all the blood tests to rule anything else out. They told me to wash my hair with bottled water. Did that, but that is certainly not convenient. So, will give the filter a try and hope for the best.

Ours didn't make any difference and then it broke (snapped in half!!) . I think you could put any container for water to run through and you would see slime etc collect.

DH cleaned ours a few days ago and if you could see the slime and dirt it had captured you would not hesitate! It was utterly revolting!

Absolutely useless for me and for my daughter. I wanted it for my hair and for her skin but made no difference at all. I know it works for many others. Maybe we're just exceptional cases! Too bad.

They have independent stands in some of the malls (I think it lists them on the website, but definitely Ibn B). They also sell them at the chemist in Town Centre at the Springs

We have had ours for approximately 3+ months. I havent noticed any difference. Now and then I get a faint lemony smell but thats about it. We were told it would also help increase water pressure but it hasnt. edited by Appletiser on 19/10/2011

I have had the Blu shower head for a couple of weeks and really like it, the shower smells really nice and the spray is much nicer as well, like a fine spray but still powerful. And my hair is definitely softer and feels in better condition. I bought it after my friend recommended it and after a few months she actually had new hair growing, I got it from Ibn Battuta and they had an offer on where if you spent over 400 dirhams then you get 100 off so I went with a friend and we both bought one to get the discount.

I have the filter part, not the head, and there is no smell and no difference. Did I do something wrong?

Mine smells all the time. Did you put the green thing in properly. I think its open on top rather than the bottom.

Mine doesn't smell either. Once in a while I think I smell something like a lemon.

I bought one y'day after all the recommendations but I got no lemon smell? Have had 2 showers since I got it. Does it take a while or you think I need to get it checked? I bought it from Marina Pharmacy.

The unit comes with a filter included, then you buy refills every 4-6 months for around AED75. Thanks I think I will buy one, they sound good and my hair feels very dry right now even using heaps of conditioner.
