Hi Ladies,

Has anyone been to or heard of any good reports from this salon in Marina Mall?.
Im looking to get my shoulder length thick hair cut back into a sharp chin length bob and possibly some blonde highlights put back through my red hair. Ive used the same salon in the UK for a little over 10 years now so a bit wary of trying somewhere new. Im confident driving to this mall and noticed this salon while i was last there, any help or advice on another reputable salon would be good thanks.

I just had my hair highlighted by Ali Habib at Franck Provost Dubai Marina. My hair is super fine, dark blonde, and very difficult to highlight as it tends to easily over process, go brassy, or turn some nasty shade depending on the product used. Provost is a L'Oreal salon and I know my hair does well with their products. I have to say these are the best highlights I've ever had in the 20 years I've been highlighting my hair off&on. Color is perfectly blended, no bleeds, no big chunky streaks, and the color is beautiful. Ali is the senior stylist there (and is also at MOE sometimes or was there, I didn't quite get that straight) and took great care in making sure my hair didn't over-process. I actually apologized for giving him such detailed instructions, repeatedly, initially because it was clear he knew far better what he was doing than anyone else I've seen. As to cut, I'm happy with that, too, but my hair isn't a complex cut. Definitely not a bargain salon, but .... I would recommend him to anyone and made sure I got his number (just in case he switches salons) because I only want him to do my hair for as long as I'm in Dubai. Could not be happier ... keep looking at my hair in the mirror thinking, "wow, that is beautiful!" This is the 5th time I've had my hair highlighted in Dubai -- I used to hold out as long as possible and then always get it "fixed" when back in the US by the lady who's been doing my hair for years ... now I'm feeling a little like a traitor. Sorry to go on and on like that, but in case I wasn't clear, I am thoroughly impressed by this fellow's skills! (One slight downside: his English is better than my Arabic, but since I don't speak Arabic, that's not saying much. Not a lot of conversation ... but I really didn't and don't care especially considering the results.)

Hi, I went there when we first got here, nearly 3 years ago. To be honest, I really didn't like my cut or highlights. The man who was doing it, spent most of the time, looking at himself and I didn't find the highlights were even, if you know what I mean. As for the cut, well he sort of just grab a bit of hair and cut it after about 6 times, that was my haircut. Needless to say I didn't go back. I have used Ted Morgan on the Palm, but I have now moved out to AR and there is another Ted Morgan branch in Motor City, both are very good and have english hairdressers and do what you ask for. This is just my experience, others may say different! Good Luck, Nippy
