I'm wanting to obtain some decent arabic music to listen to at home but have no idea where to start. Something you might want to listen to as you're relaxing with friends, so not looking for nightclub type or rapping type stuff.

Any ideas? Egyptian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Emirati, etc all ideas accepted.
TIA

I'm no expert at all either but I do like a bit of Amr Diab.

I'm certainly no expert on Arabic music, but i've downloaded and enjoyed a couple of albums by Dhafer Youssef who I think is Tunisian, and the music has a definite Arabic chill and very listenable sound to it - its certainly not clubbing music. I find it great for relaxing to with friends and maybe shisha if that's your thing. I got the music through iTunes so you can listen to samples to see if its the sort of thing you are after.

I love listening to Um Kulthoum , Fairouz, and Mohamed Abdo . Not too keen on the new singers :(
