My dh downloaded a template of the internet and cut mine down to nano no problem, works a treat. We also got me a converter so I can transfer the nano sim into my other phone

So if I get the new micro sim I assume that I can keep the original sim to use on my old phone if I need to? Tks. You can obtain twin SIM cards from Etisalat.

You can trim it yourself if you dare or there is a shop in Bin Sougat that will cut it down for you. If you get a. New sim, you will lose all your numbers on old sim. I got a new phone Christmas day and my husband just trimmed my sim card with scissors !! Yes trimming to micro is not too hard but trimming down to nano was painful!

Ther original sim is deactivated and the micro sim activated in its place. You have to get a sim convertor, so that the microsim can be used in ordinary phones. Oh just to note that the nano sim is smaller than the micro sim - trimming them down, isn't really an option and you damage the cards. edited by FairyDust on 27/12/2013 edited by FairyDust on 27/12/2013

All phone shops have the small machine that will trim the sim to fit the iPhone. If you ask the phone shop to do it for you, for a nominal fee, they will back up all your information and transfer to the new phone and replacement sim. It is easy. edited by mrsb. on 26/12/2013

Nah save the numbers on icloud and they will automatically come back onto your new phone as soon as you plug into itunes. Nothing gets lost nowadays with icloud. I wouldn't risk trimming the sim, its easy get a fresh new one. edited by shelo09 on 26/12/2013

You have to get a new one for microsim to work. you just go to the Etisalat/Du shop, pay something like 25dhs and they give you a new one to put in the phone. edited by shelo09 on 26/12/2013
