I swear by Dr. Khaled El Hoshy at the Dental Spa. I wouldn't risk my face to groupon. Dr. El Hoshy is a Professor of Dermatology from the US and is brilliant

The last Botox eve was with Al Shunnar plastic surgery. I was so impressed with Dr Buthaina, I have since had Botox and fillers. Very natural and she is more likely to say "no you don't need it " rather than push you. I like having a woman do it, I feel she has more empathy, sorry, don't remember the price as I had laser done that day as well (get all the torture done in one day). I found her details on the cosmetic surgery page. It's very personal, but I would feel a bit suspicious about anything medical with a Groupon voucher....

Beebers, you [i'>can [/i'>get them to do just your brow, but it is unlikely to be 2 simple injections. To numb the right muscles I think they would have to inject a minimum of 4-6 (just speaking from experience). I only get my frown lines done and I only started when my poor little child asked me whether I was angry at them (I wasn't!). Awww! It is good to know I can possibly just get one area done. I had run it by my DH a couple weeks ago, and his response was "honestly cant see where you need it...doesn't your friend pay like 3000 dhs for that?" (Which she does indeed) Brought it up again yesterday, and he said "hmmm maybe you should check into it. I mean, its Just that one area, honey, you know..." Lol!!! it's just getting worse as I'm losing a lot of fat from my face. Like suze I don't want to look p1ssed off unless I actually am!!

I get my brow only, the botox brow lift, to raise the outer half of my eyebrow a few mm. Very small change makes a big difference to my face! I've not had it done in Dubai yet as I'm wary of changing doctors, so I see Dr Elizabeth Dancy at Bijoux Medi Spa in Belgravia, back in London Expensive at 330pounds per syringe but very good at natural results and leaving some movement - I have a friend who is 35 and has been seeing her for 10 years, and looks amazing

Thanks suze and Louise. So much for priding myself on being low maintenance as those days will likely be over soon. Wondering how much I'll have to increase my beauty budget...1500 dhs a month is already pushing it :(

suze63 are you getting it here in Dubai done? I go to Haddi and Hoffman Clinic....originally it was a Cobone offer, and lots of people here recomended the place, so I did it (as I say, on a complete whim as if I had thought about it I'd have wussed out!). He now injects just about the eyebrows too and that's amazing...like a mini brow lift!

in all seriousness, i am due to go in a month or so, if you hang on i would happily come with you (he's used to me wheeling people in with me!) Bless you Kelly, have just seen this now - very kind of you, I'm actually going this evening and for the sake of 500dhs I think I'll just go for it but thank you anyway and thank you for the recommendation! :)

Botox is going to zap that crevasse Beebers. I can't comment on whether you should just have that done or whether to go ahead and have the brow and eyes done as well...speak to the doctor and get his / her advice. I was always pretty "anti" until I had it done, pretty much on a whim, and now wish I'd done it years earlier. I have everything done and I think it makes me look like a happier person because I don't frown all the time (although having my teeth veneered helpled that too!)...i was always told at work that I intimidated people and looked too serious! Try it and see what you think...if you don't like it, it will wear off. I think they have to do other areas when they do your bunnies ( the crease) otherwise it would look wonky. I get my forehead and crows feet done but do not have the crease yet! There is an offer on groupon however i trying to research the Dr's that administer the Botox before i book it

Dragging this thread up for a possibly silly question of mine. I've always been interested in Botox but never so much as I am now. Literally I've had a fine line between my brows become a crevasse in the last 2 months. I supplement with omegas, water intake over the top, take hyaluronic acid as well as use topically..but there's no stopping this train. When I run long distances or train vigorously, I just scowl. I can't help it. Snce i wont stop doing those...im asking here. I have read the quotes here, but do any of you just get a couple of shots between your brows? Or do they "recommend" you get eyes and forehead, the whole shebang? Just don't think I need all that and wondered if it was less.

dr ahmed at crescent medical next to mercato. 1000 for eyes and forehead. very happy with him (been going for 5 years) all my friends too. have tried much more expensive people, never noticed that it looked better, or lasted longer. Hi Kelly, I just called and booked an appointment here but they've quoted me 1500, are you sure you only pay 1000? yes i'm 100% sure. bear i mind i have been seeing him regularly for 5 years (even when at his previous place) and i have taken at least 12 friends to him who are now regular customers. he probably gives me discount. Damn, I should have said I was Kelly1814's friend ;) Ahh well its still the same price I've paid before so will give it a go since you recommended. Thanks. in all seriousness, i am due to go in a month or so, if you hang on i would happily come with you (he's used to me wheeling people in with me!)

I have had Botox with three different doctors, a rundown of my experiences over the years: Dr Ahmed at Crescent - good job, quick, easy to get appt, cost AED1700 Dr Al Shunnar - lovely lady, had to wait for ages, very rushed, good job but hurt more than usual, cost AED1580 Prof Hoshy - very nice man, gave advice on other skin issues also, did not hurt at all, cost AED1550 My personal reccomendation would definitely be Prof Hoshy, the only downside is that he is based in the US and only visits every few months edited by Josephinie on 12/02/2013

I would pay an extra 300AED and go to Imran Tahir i have been using him for years and he is a well known and recommended surgeon here. The cheaper they are the cheaper product they use.

someone has asked a question, unless you are answering her question no one is interested in your opinion on botox! ''The lady doth protest too much, methinks'' There is a lady doctor next to park n shop who works from home. She is very friendly and efficient and tells you exactly what you need or don't need. I can't remember pricing to be honest but I know for sure it was very reasonable compared to other places since she doesn't have fancy office outlays. You go back after 2 weeks and she doesn't charge if you want more but she never give too much. I don't think I'm allowed to post numbers here as I did last night and it was deleted, so how do I let you know? Anyone know? :) Isn't that illegal? Surely not. Only a poke here and there......no licensing required

I am not sure about botox but fillers are a miracle. My mom had her marionette lines filled two years ago and they still haven't come back, and she smiles like crazy and looks at least fifteen years younger. That is interesting. I may have to get mine done soon.
