Your Baby at 6 Months Old

Half a year calls for solid food treats.

Babies development 6 months

They’ve successfully completed half a year in this new world and that calls for a treat.

It’s about time you give them a taste of solid food. Their primary source of feeding would still be your breast milk but since it’s low in iron, the first solid (or pureed) food they’ll taste would be fortified rice cereal. You can also experiment with some pureed apple or pear mix.

By 6 months, your kid has most likely adjusted to human sounds and sights and won’t feel scared outside. It’s an ideal time to take a trip outside in their pram. Show them different objects, colours, shapes – they’ll laugh and interact.

He/she is also getting the hang of sitting up unassisted and may even be experimenting with mobility by crawling or rolling around the room.
