Hi all, has anyone been on a Royal Caribean cruise round the Med or anywhere for that matter? We are looking at a week cruise from Marseille with 6 stops round the Med on the Legend of the Seas. I am a bit concerned it will be like a floating gin palace but from what I can gather anyone who has been on cruises becomes immediately addicted!! Any comments plus or negative will be welcome, tia!

thanks so much for your replies, my husband has booked it so looking forward to it with a little less trepidation. We are stopping off at Palma, Marseille, Rome, Barcelona, Genoa, Valencia not in that order so good places to have a wander around. Thanks again.

Ive done afew cruises, not on RC thou, did the Med 3 times, had a fab time. Was looking recently for a med cruise, we were addicts. Did a cruise out of Dubai last November to Singapore, cruise was great, but on our particular ship there was alot of pompous people.

We've been on 2 Med cruises - one on Carnival in 2007 and another on RC in 2011. Both were fantastic. So much to see and do at each port with the option of booking excursions or not (we booked a few and then explored other stops on our own). Never a dull moment and the entertainment on the ship every night keeps things lively. The bigger the ship, the more there is to do which is great. We went on another RC cruise during Christmas 2011 from Singapore to Malaysia and Thailand and it was a great trip as well - though on a smaller, older ship with fewer options. Cruising is a great way to get a taste of particular places without having to plan/worry about anything yourself - it's all planned for you. Stress-free vacation!

Tx Deeva. This sort of trip is not what I would normally do but my husband seems pretty keen and it does stop off at some lovely cities. I am sure someone on here has experienced cruising so am hoping for others comments, anyone?

Hi Noddy, I haven't been but I have just been on the website this morning to see what they have available in August. I would like to do the British Isles cruise or the Russia/Scandinavia one. I have popped an e-mail off tp Emirates Holidays to find out if they hold an allocation so that I can compare prices. (I think that Alpha Tours is the UAE appointed agent for Caribbean but they would still need to book flights via one of the carriers.) A friend of mine went on a 2 week med cruise in 2011 and she said that it was the best experience ever... if that helps!
