Best place for bra fitting in Dubai?

I do know they offer a bra fitting service at Marks and Spencer stores as well as Debenhams but I'm not really convinced they know what they're doing. The TKD store has good reviews but they cater for larger-busted women so not very helpful for me.

I am looking for a proper fitting invisible look bra to wear under a formal outfit. It is a pale green cotton-silk net tunic with an embroidered hemline and is fully lined. The problem is that even when I wear a soft, lightly lined, seamless, nude coloured bra, the outline still shows through and I need to cover it up with a scarf or shawl. I'd like to be able to wear the outfit comfortably and need a proper bra fitting service who can advise both size and proper style to wear with such an outfit.

So if anyone knows where to find such a service in Dubai, please feel free to share.

Thanks for the suggestions. businessbay is right in that the outline shows through the dress rather than it being ill-fitting. I will check out Victoria's Secret and see how I get on. I really don't want an extra padded, extra push-up style but something that is soft and very lightly lined. I'll check out TKD as well although I'm not sure how they will help me pick out a style if they don't have smaller sizes available in store. You'd think with so many lingerie stores in Dubai they'd have at least one with staff with proper fitting knowledge to guide customers.

It sounds as if the fitting isn't the problem- more the outline of the bra for your dress. Based on what you said, you might be better off wearing a nude-coloured all-in-one (think of a tight-fitting slip). They have very good ones in M & S. Some of them are "control" so they suck you in, others are just to avoid lines.

Shocked to read that Victoria Secrets is not good. I have shopped at their store in Dubai Mall several times now and have found their fitting staff to be very helpful, offering me the correct size (and I was shocked to realise that I have been wearing the wrong size for years) and design for my shape and size. I am very happy with them. For the first time in many years, I have comfortable bras. Perhaps I have been lucky enough to get a knowledgeable assistant each visit.

Absolutely NOT Victoria's Secret!!! No way....they tried to put me in a 32DD and I'm a 28F - a 32 is huge on me and offers no support at all. Similar story to a friend, they put her in 36DD but in reality she is a 32F, which of course is a size they don't stock. Go to TKD, even if you're not large busted. Most places do not stock smaller band sizes and most ladies are wearing bras that are way too big on the band, because the common sizing advice (measure under the bust and add 4 or 5 inches) is based on the 1950s sizes which are totally different to modern IMO you don't necessarily need a specialist sizer. Measure under your bust with a tape measure and add 1, 2 or 3 inches depending on how tight you prefer your band (so if you measure say 31" you can wear a 32 or 34 band) and how large your bust is (larger busts need more support so it's harder to 'get away' with a loser band). Then try on bras of that band size til you get one that holds all your breasts with no bulging, bearing in mind your height and anatomy - for example I am very petite and so never wear plunge bras as they are always too long in the cup, so do not fit even when they are the correct size It sounds like it might be a style/fabric issue rather than fit....some dresses are really difficult!! A long-line bra might be better perhaps? Or a spanx-type contraption for the torso? Ironically a properly fitting bra can sometimes be harder to hide under clothes because the band needs to be quite tight and for most of us (except the very thin) this is going to result in a certain amount of skin/fat bulge at the back

I agree with the PPs below, Victoria's Secret is a good starting please. If you plan to shop at VS, they're really good and will even come into the fitting room with you and let you know what modifications you might need (bigger/smaller cup, different shape, tighter straps, etc) as you try on different bra sizes and styles. (However, at I've found the sizes as identified by the VS ladies don't always translate the same way to other bra brands. May be thats just me though)

Ditto agree with Carambar. Was in Victoria Secrets in MOE last week and the staff (not the sales staff) the ladies who are in the changing room were really good to recommend the right size and different shapes of bras that would suit.

Did you try Victoria's secret? I find their fitting room staff very good and capable of recommending appropriate cuts.
