Hi,

Any ladies living there? we are contemplating moving there & wanted to get feedback as to how do you like it there?

We are a family of 3 adults (hubby me & maid) and my DS 1 & half year old. Any feedback is much appreciated!

TIA

@ Loren80: Thanks for the feedback :). Yes this week have scheduled to identify & short list the areas. @claudia.uae: Yes have heard a lot about Skycourts will visit this week sounds promising. :) @ Wild Mint: Yes thats a catch all these places, Silicon Oasis / Sports City / Green Community they are all a bit far away from the more happening Part of Dubai....however if you have a budget to spend more then i think Barsha / Tecom/ The Greens are best. All the best for your search!

Samsmom/ Wild Mint, I will advise you to go around and personally have a look at the areas and the apartments and see how you feel about them.Talk to tenants as well. I have been to all those places Al Khail Gate, Sport City, Silicon Oasis and Jumeirah Village. And finally decided on a flat in Jumeirah Village and so far loving it. The area is very quiet. The two bedrooms are normal size but the best part is that some of the flats have exta large balconies which is ideal for kids to play-enough pace to put swings, slides and etc. During the cooler months my kids spend almost all day long there. My biggest concern was being so far from everything as we were used to be walking distance from shops, parks, etc. But if you drive with little planning it is not an issue. There are few groceries shops being opened in the area but again not walking distance unless u live in the same building. The neighbours are nice and there are a lot of kids around. As for location it takes 10-15 minutes to Mall of the Emirates and 15-20 to Marina Mall, 20 minutes to Ibn Battuta mall. Of course there are a lot of construction going on but for the price u pay it is worth it. Good luck with your choice edited by loren80 on 14/08/2011

Are Jumeirah village circle and Sports City really THAT far? How far is it from SHZ road, or, lets say, from the the usual landmarks - major malls...The rents are very low while the apartments are new and pretty big, so i am wondering what`s the catch. Any ladies living there or at least seen the areas? What`s your opinion? I've heard a lot of people saying that its not far at all, my DH is one of them, but when we went to see them i wanted to run away, its just "OUT" of everything, you can barely see Dubai, it doesnt seem too far when you drive, but to me it did seem like entering "Matrix"....:\: i just wouldnt be able to live there, maybe in a few years now its a whole big construction mess! Thank you. Not an option for us then, as i need to be able to walk out of the house and see the 'life'... There is always a catch!

Oh i love mirdif & so sad to leave it :( but just want to start living close to workplace....so not really considering Warqaa...maybe Sports City / IMPZ would be an option :) Have to move in Oct so just getting areas identified that fit our budget! :) Thanks! :)

Oh i live in Mirdiff too!! Mom used to live in Warqaa, in a one bed which is now going for something like 35K....not sure what has happened in Warqaa why rent is going so low, but im sure you could also find a 2 bedroom there, most of the building have a pool and gym. Give it a try before you decide!! Good Luck with the search!!

I wish i knew all this before my momm moved thee, now she cant wait to leave from that place, it also depends on your way of ilving if you are used caos and noisy neighbors you could survive :D in al barsha for just a little more you can find nice apartments. Oh that's sad! We live in Mirdif currently & not used to noise....so yes im gonna reconsider the option....we are actually thinking of a 2 bedroom & are on a tight budget therfore Al Khail Gate seemed more of budget living than Barsha.

Hi, Any ladies living there? we are contemplating moving there & wanted to get feedback as to how do you like it there? We are a family of 3 adults (hubby me & maid) and my DS 1 & half year old. Any feedback is much appreciated! TIA Dont really want to talk bad about the place, but its not great, my mom lives there, its filled with A LOT of people that live in labor camps just accross the road, in my moms building she has to fight everyday with the neighbors coz they let their kids play in the corridor until 12 am, we had a cat trown infront of or door. as you will not have a parking space just for you, its really hard to find a parking after 6 pm, and if you do there is a 75% chace that your car will be scratched the next morning, my mom has 7 scratches and she's been living there only since April. Traffic also an issue because of those big roundabouts and all te truck drivers. Hope it helps....honestly i dont think its a really good place to live.
