Just wondering a few things about this chair before we invest in one.
1. Does the paint chip? We like the red one, but if it chips we'll go white or timber.
2. What age did you stop using the plastic baby set. Wondering if I should just keep my LO in his Ikea chair for a few months longer, so I don't need to bother buying one.
Thanks :)

Whilst this is not ideal as a high chair from weaning age, as soon as they are around 1yr it is super. I took the plastic support off at about 18 months and son loves it. i know they are expensive, but I have friends that use them until 4 or 5 years so it's worth the money. We have the dark wood one too so can't tell you about the paint situation...

Hi flydiver, can't really help with either of your questions (we have the dark wood TT) but just thought I'd share how we use it in our house. Our DS is 11 months and still in his Chicco high chair. I could move him to the Tripp Trapp but I don't know if I'd feel as though he were as secure at this point. Edited to add that we do not have the baby set, presumably that would help. We bought ours second hand and our 5yr old DD is using the TT at the dining room table until our DS is a little bit older. Our DD loves 'her' chair, it's a lot easier for her to move it by herself as our dining chairs are on the heavier side. She also sits at the perfect height at the table. Good luck with your decision! edited by Kaba on 22/08/2012
