Just wondering has anyone any experience with the Stokke baby carrier? I tried it on in shop the other day & my 3 month old seemed to like it. He just loves being cuddled!
I went to smitten boutique in Marina mall yesterday just to try out the Ergo carrier & they no longer stock it.... mamas & papas do! So back to the Dubai Mall AGAIN?
Is it worth going to try it? Anyone know how much it is?
The Stokke is 899dhs so I don't want to spend that much if the Ergo is cheaper & just as good!
I'm flying next Friday & would like to buy it today or tomorrow so we can play with it & get used to it. Any info greatly appreciated
TIA :)

I bought my ergo at Ibn Batutta Mall for 425 aed or so if i remember correctly. I used it when traveling alone so the littlr pocket on the front was so valuble to me. Had bordingpass n passports there easy to get to and felt like they were in a safe place. Had backpack on my back. So i would recommend the ero with the pocket. Good later to put one diaper n pocket money in if you know you are out for a short period. Bauhause was the name of the shop. Have not tried stokke.

i loved ergo when i tried. felt much more comfortable for my back. i bought from a promotion going on 2 months back and it costs me around 375 dhs for ergo and bought infant insert for 90 dhs from mizado.com. although the later website is no longer working. i have a sports one.i got it when we went fr vacation and it was absoultely the best purchase i have made. initially 3-4 times my son created a fuss as he doesn't like to be cuddled much but then he enjoyed being in it. now atleast once a day he wants to be in it :) recently my stroller broke so i went to get it repaired and ds was in the carrier for 3 and a half hours. he was happy there but when i reached home i was sweating. my back didn't hurt (ds is a large 5 month old baby :) ) so in dubai whichever you buy for a long period if you are wearing your baby they will get hot. as evelyn suggested there is one nice one on dubizzle today.

Hi there, I bought the Stokke baby carrier last July in Mothercare in the UK for 139 GBP. Since then I have used it every day and my son absolutely loves it. He is now almost 9 kg and I still can carry him on the front. The only flaw I can tell you is that Stokke is designed by an Scandinavian brand, therefore it is for cold weather so here in Dubai, if you use it outside it can be sweaty (more for you than for the baby) but I think all carriers are like that. I have not tried Ergo, so I can not tell you, but I did a lot of research before I spent 139 GBP and I concluded Stokke was the best carrier in the market. After 3 months using it every day I can tell you I did a very good purchase. 899 AED does not sound too bad bearing in mind Dubai is an extortion when you are buying baby stuff.
