Which buildings are nice in JLT?

We need to move in a couple of months and I really like JLT (proximity to SZR basically so I can get to work quickly!).

Can you please tell me which buildings you like and why? Also if kitchens come with appliances in your building?

We need a 1 bedroom and our budget is about 55k. We're currently paying 60k where we are but I really want to save some money...

Thanks!

i live in JLT - Cluster L - kitchen are seperate (as per my house) and some flat has appl ..location is the best to reach SZR to Dubai or Abudahbi (no traffice no round.. ) and you can get 1Br for less than 55K ;) good luck edited by aline_jlt on 30/08/2012

Concord has something like a dozen 1 bd floor plans, the smallest ones are small, but the largest ones are among the biggest 1 beds anywhere, ~1400 sq ft, and 55-60 is a very good rate IMO

We stay in Concord Tower in cluster H and we love it. We have a 1 bed + study, really big and spacious with 2 big balconies. Prices are around 55-60k. The building is well maintained and located in a good spot in JLT (avoiding the dreaded roundabout). Good luck with your search!

Oh also both DH and I would need to get onto SZR going towards Sharjah, not the other way. Don't know how this would impact which end we should be? Think we might do a test drive... Clusters O through X are bad during peak hours no matter which way you go on SZR or enter from There are 3 ways to get onto SZR from JLT, Clusters for Concorde, Bonnington and Icon can easily use exit in front of Icon without having to use the roundabout

I dont think you need to do a full circle to get to cluster Y, Its the first cluster as you enter so actually the fastest to get into. The only problem will be leaving JLT 530-7 as you have to go through the roundabout to exit

I constantly drink tea in Lake view towers at a friend's...it really is nice there...a nice fresh look and I don't think traffic will be a huge issue...but it depends what you compare traffic issues with...fact is the metro is very close.

Green Lake towers in S cluster and Al-Seef buildings are nice. Al-Hawaii Residence and Al-Warsan Building in Tecom are good.

The flat my friend had in Lakeview Tower had white goods included and its a nice building with good leisure facilites. The flat was a 2 bed, and there was no building noise that I ever noticed there, its two buildings from the metro too. ETA I think the rent was 80k edited by Di@DXB on 28/08/2012

Just to add though most of the JLT buildings I looked at did not have white goods and the AC is extra through Palm Utilities.

I live in Palladium tower cluster c and the apartments and facilities are really good. This end (nearest to Jebel Ali) is not so affected by the traffic problem on the road which comes up past the other towers. Also there is a back road flyover which by passes that or you can come to this end from the last Marina exit from SZR. I love living here - lots of cafes and shops to walk to plus the Bonnington. 2 mins to the metro and crossing the SZR takes you to the Marina and JBR in 15 mins. A friend just moved into Masheal building in tecom at 50,000 - really nice big flat there too!

Thanks for all the advice, really appreciate it! I'm wondering now due to the traffic is it a good idea to move there after all? I've also not been able to find any buildings with appliances which is a bit annoying, although a colleague has offered to sell me his... We don't need to move until end of November but I'm trying to plan now as I'll be really busy with work before we move. So in terms of trying to avoid the traffic, which buildings are good? Al Seef sounds nice Adooli, thanks, I'll definitely take a look at that If anyone would like to recommend any other nice apartment buildings NOT in JLT please go ahead :) I'm pretty flexible as long as we're not out in the boonies completely...

there are a few nice apartments but they do tend to show in the price.... we lived in icon tower 2 a year ago and the apartment size was nice, no applicances but it was ok for the money we were paying.... we paid 85k for a 2 bedroom but when we moved out you could get them for 60k.... however, even living on the 30th floor, we could hear the construction outside and it is still ongoing.... the best thing that i would recommend which is what we did is to visit some of the building and speak to the security, they generally know if there are any available... some have appliances, some dont... some have open plan kitchens etc etc so it really is worth visiting a few.... in regards to traffic, depending on which way you need to go in the morning will also play a factor as the traffic inside JLT on the one way system can be chaotic.... hope this helps...

I don't know JLT well, but make sure your building is on the way out, otherwise the traffic (one road) could cause you delays!
