Planning another kid? Make sure your toddler doesn't feel left out.
Let's face it — kids, at his age, are usually self-centric. Any change that affects them personally doesn’t go well with toddlers. They can be fiercely protective of their possessions and sharing is a skill that doesn’t come naturally.
If you’re planning another child then the best is to make sure your toddler doesn’t feel left out. Involve him/her in whatever capacity you can so that he/she feels connected with the newborn.
As for their mealtimes. If your toddler isn’t keen on chewing, keep offering them veggies and fruits in lumps and textures. Mix them with their favourite food (pizza, sandwich, rolls) till they learn to appreciate all kinds of healthy foods. Involving them in the process of cooking (mixing, setting table, and picking up harmless utensils) will also teach them to appreciate the efforts that go into preparing a meal.
