I recently burned myself on my face with a curling iron. ( Yes I am super clumsy)
And now I have a mark on my face and its not going away. I tried bio oil and it didn't seem to help. I felt like my skin didn't react well to it. Now I am using a Clinique dark spot corrector cream but no change to the mark.
Any suggestions ladies?

Funny that.. I also burned myself with the curling iron, my new toy, but luckily on my hand. Used a bit of Aloe vera gel for a few days and it seemed to have faded really well. I burnt both my hand and my face :) There is no mark on my hand though . And I haven't touched the iron since!! I think its just not meant for me :)

In that case really it's still healing, just cover it with a non irritating concealer and let your body do its thing. I wouldn't go applying bleaching creams to such delicate skin and its too late for mebo etc as the skin is already closed over. Thanks kiwispiers... I will try and be patient a little longer.

Its not a scab.. just a dark mark on the spot. And where can I find mebo? At a pharmacy or any supermarket?

How long ago did you burn yourself? Is it a scar or is it still healing?

I can recommend Mebo too. It stinks but it works!

Thanks Ladies.. I've tried Aloe and well I must admit I am not being too patient :) I've not heard of silicone scar gel .. will try looking for that and mebo.. And yes the bio oil really was a waste of money.

I recently used Fair and Lovely marks remover on my chickenpox scars that I got last year and it actually worked (recommended by a colleague). Cost only 7 AED for a small tube. Found in all super markets. I bought mine in C4

Bio Oil is nothing but overpriced mineral oil, it has no natural ingredients at all, in fact it's full of very toxic petrochemicals so that could be why you reacted badly to it.. All the hype around this product is very misleading. http://www.thewellnesswarrior.com.au/2012/04/8-beauty-brands-you-would-think-are-natural-but-arent/
