Hi Guys

IS there anywhere in Dubai where I can buy a good quality comfy sofa? Have been hunting around now and found nothing that is comfy or good quality. There are lots that in the range of 30,000 - 50,000 AED but this just seems a little excessive.

Debating on actually buying one from DFS and getting it shipped over as they have good sales on too and with the shipping price a 2x 3 seater leather softas works out with shipping for approx 7k-8k...?!?

Any suggestions appreicated on any recommendations, :)

i have had my sofas for 7 years and they are still really comfy - they do need recovering but thats largely due to kitties wear than the sofas.

Bought ours on Dubizzle 2nd hand from The One, paid 3.5k, barely used. Had it for two years and its still perfect. It is so comfy, its my favorite piece of furniture! If have time you can get something lovely and save a lot. FYI lots of sellers say its from the one or marina etc.., check labels or ask for the receipt if they have it. (and turn over the cushions to check for stains and wear and tear) <em>edited by mannikat on 25/11/2013</em>

Looked in Pan Emirates and just had rubbish too, always a little hit and miss that place. Will try out The One though, just got dinning table and chairs there recently. Do love their stuff, didn't see anything in there the other month in MOE one though as have been keeping an eye out for a little while now. Will look at Freedom and HomesRus too. There is a lovely one we like in Crate&Barrel but is 20K - this is really over the budget a bit. Really looking at 7k - 10k max. ** Aylaali - ooooh this could be an option. got a real bargain at Huzaifa Furniture (just before Maktoum Bridge) in their DSF offer, a 3 + 2 + 1 + ottoman for 5000dhs! Their sales are really good and their modern furniture is quite nice (they have a seperate section for really bulky gold ornate furniture, not our type!). I love our sofas they look great, fab quality, and are super comfy, even after 3 years! They keep having sales so keep checking :) IKEA sofas are the worst, they are very poor quality. I'm also not a fan of Home Centre, they are not made to last. <em>edited by sourskittleashnut on 25/11/2013</em>

LisaLou - we are just waiting for our new Natuzzi sofa to arrive which should be sometime this week or next. We'll be selling our white leather L-shaped sofa from The ONE in case you're interested. It's in very good condition and has nothing really wrong with it. It's just that we decided to splurge and get the leather one from Natuzzi with the IPOD docks. We'll be selling our sofa for about 6,000 AED. That's half-price of what we bought it for 2 years ago.

Have you tried the One outlet shop in the outlet mall, We bought 2 big comfy sofas there that had a very small mark on one of them (that came off) there still in the One now in MOE and sell for 7k each we paid 7 k for 2 and they are so comfy, If they don't have what you want leave your number and ask them to call you when ever they get new sofas in!

Second the freedom shop in MCC. I bought dining room furniture from there recently, was pleasantly surprised at the price. It's very modern and good quality. I didn't buy a sofa from there but they had some really nice ones. I got a sofa a while ago from ikea for my DD bedroom and so far no problems with quality. Comfortable and washable and a good price too. Had mixed experiences with The One. A sofa for my living room barely lasted a year, the frame broke. It wasn't cheap and we are not over weight, nor were we jumping on it, lol. The other one we bought from there for our bedroom however is still looking good after about 4 years.

I love the sofas from THE One, I prefer the jumairah branch though as it has more selection, although I guess they are quite expensive, a U shape sofa was 12000, but was really comfy

We bought ours 2 years ago from ID Design. It's extremely comfortable, good quality, great design, reasonable price and 2 years later it still looks as good as new even though we use it daily. Would definitely recommend.

I usually go to the branch at Uptown Mirdiff but there are a few different stores. http://www.2xlme.com/location.php I honestly cannot remember how much we paid for the sofas but I am sure it was reasonable. We got 1 x 4 seater and 2 x 2 seaters which are a modern design and the leather has worn really well. I do remember it being one if the last things were bought because I just couldn't find anything I liked, unless it was way too expensive. I had almost given up hope until we stumbled across this store and they had lots of furniture in stock that I liked. I have been back several times over the years and sometimes I don't like what they have in stock but you can find that at any store. If you haven't found anything yet I would definitely say its worth a trip.
