First baby in Dubai, and I tried to schedule appointment with the highly recommended Dr Elsa 2 weeks ago but didn't hear back from her nurses. I managed to get an apptmt with (also highly recommended) Dr George immediately, for next week. Dr Elsa's nurse just called to say she can see me next week, and now I don't know who to cancel. Have not been to either, and would love to hear from anyone who knows both, or very strong feelings about either. Should I just got to both first apptmts and make a decision after that?

Just had baby no. 2 with Dr. Elsa and she was amazing!! Like the other lady i was so close to getting a c-section (breech baby) but Dr. Elsa got my wee bundle out no problem at all. It was great knowing that during the labour Dr. Elsa was just a couple of floors away, so when we needed her, she was there in minutes. I had my scans with Dr. George who was just lovely and i've heard great things about him also. Good luck!

Dr.Elsa is the best !!! I dont know about Dr.George but Elsa was my Gyn who delivered my baby in march this yr. I was mighty close to a C-section but Elsa made her best efforts to deliver naturally and so I had a natural birth. She is amazing and also predicted that I would deliver my baby just before sunset the day I was scheduled to deliver ... It turned out to be perfectly true ... I was admitted at 10 am and delivered at 5.30 pm !!!

Apart from the fact that Dr. Elsa is already a part of City, another factor that motivated me to go to her was the fact that I wouldnt have to deal with the insurance claims. Do go to Dr. George for your NT sacn, your 20 week sacn and Doppler Scan at 7th month. Dr. Elsa recommends him for that as well:) Goodluck!

thanks ladies! you are right globetrotter1 - it is hard to decide as they were both great. i will get my NT done with Dr George next month and then decide, but I suspect it will most likely be Dr Elsa because my insurance is limited to AED25k for everything, and Dr George's charges for the first appt were much higher than Dr Elsa's. If I stayed with him, I think I'd have to pay another AED5-10k over my limit. Also City claims directly from my insurance (so less hassle for me) whereas with n9ne medical I needed to pay and wait for reimbursement.

Dr Elsa is wonderful - delivered my two children - I was a tricky case but she was amazing!!! UK trained, very sensible and straightforward - popular for one reason - she is great at what she does!

They are both excellent. I have seen both of them but I went with Dr. Elsa just because she is a part of City Hospital where I plan to deliver. Also, Elsa has spent more time in Dubai than Dr. George. I would ask you to visit both and then make up your mind, though I guarantee it will be a difficult choice. Goodluck!

Dr George, according to my research, is a foetal medicine specialist (UK trained) and experienced with high risk pregnancies. He delivers at city and consults from his own clinic nine medical. You'll find contact details on google. Haven't met him yet but he comes highly recommended on this forum.

I love Elsa, she was my Ob/gyn and she is amazing. If I was you I'd go to both appointments and then make your decision. This way you'll never be left wondering. All the best!
