You may get more responses if you move this to the pregnancy forum, GL. Main forum is a lot more active than the pregnancy forum and a lot of people who can give advice do not check there anymore as we are finished with having babies. I agree...i was quite happy with the responses i got..and really just needed a shoulder to cry on as such. :)

Hi KittyKat, I remember when I went through that phase 4 years ago when I was also TTC. I went to a gynae who said I had cysts and HPV and blah blah blah. Not helping that I am never regular. I was also given the regular clomid and all that jazz. What I believe helped was I did acupunture for a month. I went on the pill for 3 months to regulate my period then stop. I also started taking folic acid at the same time. I was also depressed when my 1st gynae told me all the bad news. Then I went to get a 2nd opinion and Dr Andrea calmed me down alot. Then I got pregnant. Now a beautiful nearly 3 yo girl. Soon KK. it'll be your turn xx always nice to hear all the success stories..gives me hope! A lady on here sent a link which i went on yesterday called The Sperm meets Egg Plan..and it so happened that i was on my Day 10 so i immediately bought my ovulation stick thingies and waiting to be good to go! :) I am going to try this plan for 3 months as advised. As stubborn as this may sound..i want to exhaust all my options before going down the Dr route. Thank you so much for your post..got abit teary eyed reading it..but all the ladies who have commented have made such a difference to my outlook on things and now i dont feel like such a failure and not giving up hope just yet! :)

To the OP getting help means empowering yourself! Don't give up but like others suggested find a fertility specialist that you feel comfortable with and go from there. I'd also recommend the SMEP programme and the book Taking charge of your fertility. The ovulation kits are good. They quite expensive here at 300aed for digital box, UK price is about £20 and sometimes they on buy one get one free offers!! You can also try the board Actively trying on Babycentre ( make sure it's the UK site not the US one!) for support and ideas. See if you like it because its easy to get engrossed in it. I've just been through a 12 month TTC stint myself after a loss so know all about the ups and downs! If you want to chat il post my email below. I also have some unused ovulation sticks that you welcome to have and a book you welcome to borrow. Don't want to overwhelm you with info, but please be bit cautious with Clomid as I've heard some doctors here are trigger happy to prescribe it when it's not really suited to the needs of the patient. It causes hyper ovulation and you need to check your egg reserve first! Best wishes and keep your chin up! Tried to email you...its coming back saying *mailer error* ??? I have checked that i have done it right..so i dunno now? :(

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I have lost pregnancys early on, and can't even begin to imagine what you've been through. I had tears in my eyes for you, as I read this thread. Maybe I could suggest the "sperm meets egg plan" (see link below). It worked well for three of my friends that had been trying for a while. Also I personally would also see a doctor for a check up ASAP, just so you know what you are dealing with. Wishing you lots of luck, and sending a cyber hug your way. http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm edited by flydiver11 on 08/05/2013 Thank you for this info...i have read up on the plan..and i am going to try it. I am on Day 10..so maybe this is a baby dust "sign" for me...thank you again for sharing with me.x

you get a box and then so many sticks come with it, so you can use 1/2/3/4 whatever sticks a month until you get the happy face - I think there are maybe 8 sticks in a box. I believe they are cheaper in other countries than here so maybe if you are away in the summer you can stock up. they are v easy to use, just the same as a preg test and you wait a few seconds then it shows happy face or not!

Def use the sticks! you get a happy face when you are good to go! ;) Are they that simple to use? Do you get a few sticks in a box or must i buy like 10 boxes? sorry for the ignorance but never used them before...i feel like a lost cause!

Getting help doesn't mean you're admitting defeat. Admitting defeat would be to completely give up hope and stop trying. Getting help means you're empowering yourselves and taking the next step. Although our fertility issues were different (no problems getting pregnant, but I've lost 3 babies on the course to having our 2 kids and went through the gamut of testing to determine why I could fall pregnant but not stay pregnant), I completely understand the heartache you go through. There were times in our struggle when I'd see a pregnant woman and just breakdown. Seemed everyone could get/stay pregnant but me at times. I highly recommend the book Taking Charge of your Fertility by Weschler. It talks about monitoring fertility signs. It is such a valuable resource. The methods take a lot of the guesswork out of trying. But, most definitely seek out some help. There are answers in most cases and the sooner you get help the sooner (hopefully) you'll get that baby you're hoping for. Thank you for the advice. :)

My daughter was telling me that she went out with a friend last week and they were joined by a friend of her friend who jad gone through 16 (yes SIXTEEN) bouts of IVF and never gave up. She now has the most adorable 5 month old son and will be trying to have a brother or sister for the little one as she has more fertilised eggs that are frozen and she wants the little one to have a sibling. She is mid forties and has decided she nas no tome to waste. God bless her fornever giving up! Wow..Bless her! :)

Hi KK I'm so sorry for your still birth, must have been horrific and my heart goes out to you. Just wanted to give you some hope - a friend of mine a bit older than you has been through 3 rounds of IVF and on the 3rd round it succeeded! She is now at nearly 10 weeks and the little fighter has a strong heartbeat. Please don't give up hope. xx Hi..yes it was heartbreaking..and we will never forget it but we have a memory box that will always be close to our hearts. Thank you for giving me hope..as i havent gone to any drs yet as i have been ttc naturally..maybe its time to admit defeat on the ole pipes and see a specialist.x

hi kittykat72, we're the same age and i also had trouble conceiving, and when i did, i lost all my babies (x3). it has been a devastating road for us. i saw dr rosalie sant, primavera clinic and i did bbt charting (www.fertilityfriends.com is great for this). dr sant was supportive and appreciated the charting because that helped her with pinpointing certain issues that i had. i fell pregnant in 2011 and although i was on clexane injections for the entire 9 months (a small price to pay), my gorgeous little boy was born in 2012. look her up, she is fantastic. read as much as you can about ovulation, symptoms, signs etc. dont get stuck on the 27/8 day cycle and look (i mean LOOK) for signs of ovulation. although i never used her, dr oh comes highly recommended for accupuncture when TTC - search for her on the bumps page. i know what you are going through and it is heart-breaking. all of a sudden all you can see around you are babies and strollers and bumps. you have to smile and genuinely be happy when congratulating ANOTHER friend who announces her pregnancy all the while struggling with your emotions. *try* to not let that get you down. it is difficult, i know, and easier said than done but it all adds to the stress of TTC. i dont know if i've helped, but i'm thinking of you. it seems we spend our entire lives trying not to fall pregnant and when you want to, you cant. cruel joke, isn't it? good luck ***lots of baby dust your way *** xxx thank you..you did help..just going to keep on trying and keep the faith :)

Hi Kittykat72, I'm sending you lots of hugs, I know exactly how you feel, DH and I have been TTC for over a year and a half now and every month it is quite frustrating and depressing with lots of tears but I am trying to remain positive that it will happen :) I changed to a specialist gynaecologist in January who is amazing and very supportive and I am confident in her expertise. She has walked DH and I through all the fertility tests and we discovered that the issue was actually with DH and we have had our first IUI with her this weekend, so I am patiently waiting for the 2 week period to end. I suggest going to a dr and having all the basic tests done on yourself and your DH to make sure that all is in order, you could buy ovulation predictor kits to pin point your fertile time in the month. Please don't ever think of yourself as a failure, stay positive and think about the precious bundle of joy that you will one day be holding in your arms. Sending you lots of baby dust and cyber hugs!!!!! every time i read a reply on here..the tears flow! i wish you all the best and hope that someday we will both be blessed! Baby dust and cyber hugs right back at ya!
